TRAINER-LED GROUP WALKS FOR YOU & YOUR DOG

Join us for a structured group walk designed to give you and your dog real-world practice together. Led by a K9s Place trainer, Pack Walk focuses on reinforcing leash manners, basic commands, and focus while walking alongside other dogs and their handlers.

Pack Walk meets Saturday mornings at 8:30 AM near the Wickham Park Dog Park. Dogs of all breeds and sizes are welcome as long as they can participate appropriately in a group setting.

First time joining the pack? Before attending your first Pack Walk, you’ll need to complete an evaluation with our team. This gives us a chance to meet you and your dog and make sure Pack Walk is an appropriate fit.

The staff was so kind, patient, and reassuring, and explained everything which really put me at ease. I also tried daycare for the first time, and he came home happy and seemed like he had a great time! Finished his stay with a full groom, which was his second time getting groomed there, and they did a great job as always. Great staff, great service, and I highly recommend!

I discovered K9s Place by Google searching dog daycares in the Melbourne area as, I was traveling with my dog, Syrah, for the first time for over a week and knew she’d need a place to stay during times I couldn’t take her with me.  K9s Place had the most impressive, detailed website it was an easy choice…as long as they lived up to what their website described…THEY DID! Arranging an assessment appt and reserving daycare day was super easy. Although, for the 2 weeks prior, I was so worried she wouldn’t pass her assessment, lol. My dog is a 9 yr old Tibetan Terrier who often can behaves like an out of control, hyperactive puppy plus, she has separation anxiety and had never been to daycare.  Not only the owners but everyone at K9s Place welcomed her as soon as we walked in.  Syrah passed Trevor’s assessment and she spent 4 days at daycare; each day eager to get inside and upon picking her up, she was ready for an afternoon nap during the daily thunderstorms before we went to dinner. We were also able to fit in a personal training session with Brendon and Chelsea who were very patient and offered both Syrah and I clear directions and guidance on achieving positive results with her general behavior and learning to control her impulses. Syrah has come home like a (somewhat) calm, new dog.  She waits for my instruction, sits as calm as she can, when greeting people, walks with and near me on the leash, doesn’t bark her head off at the Amazon driver and it’s like I brought home a much more chill, happy dog.  We learned in one hour more take-aways than we have in the 3 different training courses during her first 2 years that were taught through a vet, pet store and other dog trainer for a whole lot more expense. Another thing that stood out to me is each person working at K9s Place was there because they enjoyed being around the dogs and doing what they do.  Good vibes, happy dogs. I highly recommend K9s Place for both daycare and training and wish they were near our home south of Seattle.

The staff truly cares about every dog and provides a safe, clean, and fun environment. My pup always comes home happy and tired after a day of play. The trainers are really good we’ve learned a lot from them, and my puppy as well. The facility is cleaned, and well managed. The front desk workers are awesome very kind, friendly, and welcoming! I went from not being able to keep control of my dog when out for walks to having full control on walks of my respectful and well mannered dog on day one out of training. The K9s Place Difference

A walk is one thing. Practicing good leash manners around other dogs, people, new smells, and everyday distractions is another.

Our trainer-led Pack Walk gives dogs and their handlers the opportunity to practice leash manners and basic commands in a structured group setting. You’ll walk alongside other dogs and owners while working on skills like staying engaged, walking politely on leash, and following commands with distractions around.

This is a group experience rather than one-on-one training, making it a great way to reinforce the skills you’re already working on while giving your dog valuable practice in a real-world environment.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST PACK WALK

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU JOIN THE PACK

Pack Walk is designed to keep the group moving together safely and give everyone the opportunity to practice along the way. A little preparation helps make the experience better for you, your dog, and the rest of the pack.

Before joining us:

Bring a secure leash and the training equipment you normally use with your dog (Please leave retractable leashes at home)
Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather
Bring water for both you and your dog, especially on warmer Florida mornings
Give other dogs space rather than allowing on-leash greetings
Arrive with enough time to get settled before the group begins
Be prepared to actively handle your own dog throughout the walk

Not sure if your dog is ready?

Dogs should be able to safely participate around other dogs and people. Pack Walk is not intended to work through significant aggression or severe reactivity in a group setting. If you’re unsure, contact K9s Place before attending and we can help point you toward the best option.

$20 per walk.

Need More Than a Weekly Walk?

Keep Training During the Week

A Saturday pack walk is a strong support piece. If leash pulling, recall, or listening still falls apart at home, your dog needs more than one group walk.

Private lessons, day training, and board and train give us the time to teach the skills you will then rehearse on pack walks. A lot of owners use both: weekday training, Saturday practice with the pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where and when do pack walks happen?

Saturday mornings at 8:30am at Wickham Park’s dog park entrance. Plan to arrive a few minutes early so the group can start together.

Do I walk with my dog, or do you take them?

You should come ready to participate. This is a trainer-led group walk, and your handling is part of the practice. If you have a special situation, ask us when you book.

Is this the same as the dog park?

No. Dogs stay on leash. The walk is structured and supervised. We are not turning the group loose to play.

Can a reactive dog join?

Some dogs who struggle on everyday walks do well in a trained, on-leash group. Dogs who cannot yet be safe around other dogs should start with training, not a pack walk. Tell us what you are dealing with when you reserve a spot and we will be honest about the fit.

What if it rains or the weather is rough?

Safety comes first. If we need to change plans, we will communicate with you. When you book, make sure we have a good way to reach you that morning.
