EXCELLENT Based on 292 reviews Posted on GoogleKaren SteeleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience with dog trainer Brendan! He's very knowledgeable on training! Firm yet gentle with commands. He really made me feel like he genuinely loved my dog and wants him to be the best version of his dog-self! Well worth the money, but understand that homework (practice) needs to be done for 100% success! And I love that part of our last class we spent learning a few fun tricks...rollover & sit pretty! Thanks so much Brendan & K9s!Posted on GoogleEmily BeaneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My 3-year-old mini schnauzer is adorable, but he was very reactive toward people and other dogs, which made walks stressful. I used to dread taking him out and would cross the street anytime I saw another person walking their dog. Now he is well behaved around people and so much better around other dogs. Walks are now enjoyable and I feel so much more relaxed and confident with him. The trainers were patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend K9s Place to anyone dealing with reactivity or behavior issues. Thank you guys!Posted on GoogleLeah CaruthersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I took our 7-month-old puppy, Otis, to this facility for their five-day board and train as well as utilizing their “Spaw” services. To say we are impressed is an understatement. Otis is a very happy puppy and wants to greet absolutely everyone (people and other animals alike) when outside to either walk or use the bathroom. We love that he is so friendly but we were worried sick that one day he might approach an animal or person that may not be so friendly or forgiving. Five days after his program, we are happy to report that he has calmed down significantly when in public and listens to us much better than he used to. His trainer worked with him on everything we asked, even using his own vehicle to help Otis practice getting in and out of the car safely. After his training, we took him to their “Spaw” for grooming and were equally impressed with this service. His fur is the softest it’s ever felt although he usually is very nervous after getting groomed, he showed no signs of anxiety when we picked him up. We are so lucky to have found this facility and trust all the staff with Otis completely. We can’t wait to continue to bring our sweet boy here. Thank you K9’s Place!Posted on GoogleRosan GonzalezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found this place online, and I don't regret taking my Cane Corso to obedience classes for a week. My baby is a completely different dog after those classes. He follows simple commands, I can take him to public places to continue his socialization, and he does an incredible job. This is all thanks to the trainers at K9 Place. Thanks, guys, for the excellent work!Posted on GoogleAstaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. K9 Place in Melbourne, FL is hands down the best place in the area. I have a senior diabetic dog with Cushing’s, and it was very hard to find someone willing to help. I called in many vet, dog daycare and boarding places and even called a clinic in Orlando, and they refused to take him. K9 Place was completely different — they were kind, flexible, professional, and truly cared about my dog. They worked with my drop-off and pick-up times, and I could tell right away that they love animals and understand what pet owners go through. If you want a place that is caring, reliable, and puts dogs first, K9 Place is the one. I’m very grateful for them and highly recommend them to anyone in the area.Posted on GoogleClay PilkingtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog is 8.5 years old, and was extremely reactive toward other dogs to the point where I couldn’t take him anywhere and only on short, stressful walks hoping we wouldn’t come across any other dogs. After 2 weeks board and train, now we are going on pack walks and bonding more than ever, training was worth it!! This place is incredible!Posted on GoogleDana PomerantzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Going to try out the Board and Train with the newest rescue member of our family, 9 month old Phoenix (Feny) a Grate Dane/Lab mix. She was already learning before we even left the evaluation. Feny was comfortable with the surroundings the entire time we were there. Looking forward to great training!Posted on GoogleMike HoranTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had the pleasure of bringing my dog Andy to K9 place for a two week board and train. My dog had problems with walking with the leash and he would pull me. He also was not real good around other people and other dogs. After 2 weeks with all the great trainers and staff he is like another dog. I would highly recommend this great place.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Why Some Dogs Struggle When Left Behind
Every anxious dog shows stress differently. Some pace or bark, while others withdraw and avoid interaction. For some, the trigger is separation from their owner; for others, it’s unfamiliar surroundings, noises, or changes in routine. Rescue dogs, seniors, and sensitive breeds are often more prone to anxiety, but any dog can experience it.
Traditional boarding facilities may unintentionally make anxiety worse. The constant noise, lack of individual attention, and abrupt changes to routine can leave a nervous dog feeling unsettled. That’s why at K9s Place, we created a program designed to lower stress, provide predictability, and nurture confidence. Talk to us today about how we can help your anxious dog feel safe, supported, and truly at home during their stay.
What Keeps Many Owners From Choosing Boarding
If you are worried about leaving your anxious dog in someone else’s care, you are not alone. Many owners in Brevard County share these same concerns.
Fear Their Dog Will Panic Without Them
Dogs who cling tightly to their owners often struggle with separation. Owners worry their dogs will cry or become destructive when left at a boarding facility.
Stress About Noise and Unfamiliarity
Boarding kennels can be busy places with lots of barking and activity. For an anxious dog, these triggers may make the stay overwhelming.
Concern Over Eating or Sleeping Habits
Some dogs stop eating or refuse to settle when stressed. Owners worry their dog will lose weight or become exhausted during boarding.
Guilt Over Leaving Their Dog Behind
Many owners feel torn between their own travel needs and their dog’s comfort. The guilt of leaving an anxious dog can overshadow an entire trip.
Worry About Individualized Attention
Owners of nervous dogs want reassurance that their dog won’t get lost in the shuffle and will instead receive gentle, personalized care.
At K9s Place, we built our boarding program to directly address these fears and give owners peace of mind.

A Testimonial from Our Happy Clients: “First time we ever boarded our dog Strata. We chose K9s place because of their professionalism, the only facility I spoke with that asked us to come in beforehand for an evaluation and check everything out before boarding her. Put my mind at ease during drop off. Strata had a great weekend, running around, playing with other puppies and getting snuggles from the trainers. Prices very reasonable. Definitely recommended.” – Kayla Foreman
