EXCELLENT Based on 292 reviews Posted on Karen SteeleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience with dog trainer Brendan! He's very knowledgeable on training! Firm yet gentle with commands. He really made me feel like he genuinely loved my dog and wants him to be the best version of his dog-self! Well worth the money, but understand that homework (practice) needs to be done for 100% success! And I love that part of our last class we spent learning a few fun tricks...rollover & sit pretty! Thanks so much Brendan & K9s!Posted on Emily BeaneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Super friendly and professional!Posted on StephanieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. K9s Place completely changed our lives in just 5 days. My 3-year-old mini schnauzer is adorable, but he was very reactive toward people and other dogs, which made walks stressful. I used to dread taking him out and would cross the street anytime I saw another person walking their dog. Now he is well behaved around people and so much better around other dogs. Walks are now enjoyable and I feel so much more relaxed and confident with him. The trainers were patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend K9s Place to anyone dealing with reactivity or behavior issues. Thank you guys!Posted on Leah CaruthersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I took our 7-month-old puppy, Otis, to this facility for their five-day board and train as well as utilizing their “Spaw” services. To say we are impressed is an understatement. Otis is a very happy puppy and wants to greet absolutely everyone (people and other animals alike) when outside to either walk or use the bathroom. We love that he is so friendly but we were worried sick that one day he might approach an animal or person that may not be so friendly or forgiving. Five days after his program, we are happy to report that he has calmed down significantly when in public and listens to us much better than he used to. His trainer worked with him on everything we asked, even using his own vehicle to help Otis practice getting in and out of the car safely. After his training, we took him to their “Spaw” for grooming and were equally impressed with this service. His fur is the softest it’s ever felt although he usually is very nervous after getting groomed, he showed no signs of anxiety when we picked him up. We are so lucky to have found this facility and trust all the staff with Otis completely. We can’t wait to continue to bring our sweet boy here. Thank you K9’s Place!Posted on Rosan GonzalezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found this place online, and I don't regret taking my Cane Corso to obedience classes for a week. My baby is a completely different dog after those classes. He follows simple commands, I can take him to public places to continue his socialization, and he does an incredible job. This is all thanks to the trainers at K9 Place. Thanks, guys, for the excellent work!Posted on AstaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. K9 Place in Melbourne, FL is hands down the best place in the area. I have a senior diabetic dog with Cushing’s, and it was very hard to find someone willing to help. I called in many vet, dog daycare and boarding places and even called a clinic in Orlando, and they refused to take him. K9 Place was completely different — they were kind, flexible, professional, and truly cared about my dog. They worked with my drop-off and pick-up times, and I could tell right away that they love animals and understand what pet owners go through. If you want a place that is caring, reliable, and puts dogs first, K9 Place is the one. I’m very grateful for them and highly recommend them to anyone in the area.Posted on Clay PilkingtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog is 8.5 years old, and was extremely reactive toward other dogs to the point where I couldn’t take him anywhere and only on short, stressful walks hoping we wouldn’t come across any other dogs. After 2 weeks board and train, now we are going on pack walks and bonding more than ever, training was worth it!! Very thankful for K9’s placePosted on Cynthia JacksonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog is now a pleasure to walk. This place is incredible!Posted on Dana PomerantzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Going to try out the Board and Train with the newest rescue member of our family, 9 month old Phoenix (Feny) a Grate Dane/Lab mix. She was already learning before we even left the evaluation. Feny was comfortable with the surroundings the entire time we were there. Looking forward to great training!Posted on Mike HoranTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had the pleasure of bringing my dog Andy to K9 place for a two week board and train. My dog had problems with walking with the leash and he would pull me. He also was not real good around other people and other dogs. After 2 weeks with all the great trainers and staff he is like another dog. I would highly recommend this great place.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Why Dog Crate Training is Essential: The Foundation for Good Behavior
Many dog owners struggle with common behavior problems that can be solved through proper crate training. Without a structured approach, issues such as separation anxiety, destructive chewing, and house soiling can become long-term challenges. Investing in dog crate training ensures your dog has a safe, structured environment that encourages good behavior and helps them adapt to everyday routines.
Our crate training can help your furry friend overcome these challenges:
- Separation Anxiety: Dogs may become anxious or destructive when left alone, leading to excessive barking, chewing, and scratching.
- Housebreaking Challenges: Without a crate, puppies and adult dogs can develop inconsistent bathroom habits, leading to frequent indoor accidents.
- Destructive Chewing: Untrained dogs often chew on furniture, shoes, and household items, causing frustration and costly damage.
- Lack of Routine: Dogs thrive on structure, and without crate training, they may struggle with boundaries, restlessness, or difficulty settling.
At K9’s Place, we help dog owners with a structured and compassionate crate training approach that builds confidence and encourages positive habits.

When you choose K9’s Place for dog crate training in Melbourne, FL, you’re investing in your dog’s well-being and peace of mind. Our expert trainers ensure that crate training is a positive experience that benefits both dogs and their owners.

- Improved Behavior: Dogs with crate training experience less anxiety and destructive behavior.
- Enhanced Travel Comfort: Crate-trained dogs travel more easily and experience less stress in new environments.
- Greater Independence: Dogs feel safe and secure in their crate, even when left alone for short periods.
- Safer Home Environment: Owners can leave home with confidence, knowing their dog is secure and comfortable.
How to Crate Train a Puppy the K9s Place Way
At K9’s Place, we use a step-by-step process to introduce dogs to crate training in a stress-free and rewarding way. Our goal is to make the crate a positive, safe space that your dog enjoys spending time in rather than a place of punishment or isolation.
Establishing Positive Crate Associations
Dogs need to see their crate as a safe and welcoming retreat, not a place of confinement. We reinforce positive crate habits by:
- Feeding meals inside the crate to build positive associations.
- Encouraging rest and relaxation in the crate with soft bedding.
- Using praise and reinforcement every time your dog enters the crate on
their own.
Gradual Crate Training Sessions
We implement short, positive crate training sessions to help dogs adjust at their own pace. Our training includes:
- Teaching dogs to stay in the crate for increasing periods while remaining calm.
- Ensuring crate time aligns with a consistent routine to reinforce expectations.
- Encouraging independence while ensuring the dog feels secure inside the crate.
Housebreaking and Overnight Training
Crate training plays a vital role in housebreaking puppies and adult dogs. We help establish a clear bathroom schedule by:
- Taking dogs outside immediately after crate time to reinforce potty training.
- Using scheduled crate breaks to minimize indoor accidents.
- Teaching owners how to maintain consistency in housebreaking routines.
Crate Training for Travel and Vet Visits
Generally, dogs that are crate trained experience less stress during travel and vet visits. Our training prepares dogs to:
- Feel comfortable in crates during car rides.
- Remain calm and relaxed in new environments.
- Adapt to changes in routine without anxiety or fear.
Give your dog the confidence to travel with ease and stay calm at the vet. Stress-free trips start with K9’s Place.
