EXCELLENT Based on 292 reviews Posted on Karen SteeleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience with dog trainer Brendan! He's very knowledgeable on training! Firm yet gentle with commands. He really made me feel like he genuinely loved my dog and wants him to be the best version of his dog-self! Well worth the money, but understand that homework (practice) needs to be done for 100% success! And I love that part of our last class we spent learning a few fun tricks...rollover & sit pretty! Thanks so much Brendan & K9s!Posted on Emily BeaneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Super friendly and professional!Posted on StephanieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. K9s Place completely changed our lives in just 5 days. My 3-year-old mini schnauzer is adorable, but he was very reactive toward people and other dogs, which made walks stressful. I used to dread taking him out and would cross the street anytime I saw another person walking their dog. Now he is well behaved around people and so much better around other dogs. Walks are now enjoyable and I feel so much more relaxed and confident with him. The trainers were patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend K9s Place to anyone dealing with reactivity or behavior issues. Thank you guys!Posted on Leah CaruthersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I took our 7-month-old puppy, Otis, to this facility for their five-day board and train as well as utilizing their “Spaw” services. To say we are impressed is an understatement. Otis is a very happy puppy and wants to greet absolutely everyone (people and other animals alike) when outside to either walk or use the bathroom. We love that he is so friendly but we were worried sick that one day he might approach an animal or person that may not be so friendly or forgiving. Five days after his program, we are happy to report that he has calmed down significantly when in public and listens to us much better than he used to. His trainer worked with him on everything we asked, even using his own vehicle to help Otis practice getting in and out of the car safely. After his training, we took him to their “Spaw” for grooming and were equally impressed with this service. His fur is the softest it’s ever felt although he usually is very nervous after getting groomed, he showed no signs of anxiety when we picked him up. We are so lucky to have found this facility and trust all the staff with Otis completely. We can’t wait to continue to bring our sweet boy here. Thank you K9’s Place!Posted on Rosan GonzalezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found this place online, and I don't regret taking my Cane Corso to obedience classes for a week. My baby is a completely different dog after those classes. He follows simple commands, I can take him to public places to continue his socialization, and he does an incredible job. This is all thanks to the trainers at K9 Place. Thanks, guys, for the excellent work!Posted on AstaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. K9 Place in Melbourne, FL is hands down the best place in the area. I have a senior diabetic dog with Cushing’s, and it was very hard to find someone willing to help. I called in many vet, dog daycare and boarding places and even called a clinic in Orlando, and they refused to take him. K9 Place was completely different — they were kind, flexible, professional, and truly cared about my dog. They worked with my drop-off and pick-up times, and I could tell right away that they love animals and understand what pet owners go through. If you want a place that is caring, reliable, and puts dogs first, K9 Place is the one. I’m very grateful for them and highly recommend them to anyone in the area.Posted on Clay PilkingtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog is 8.5 years old, and was extremely reactive toward other dogs to the point where I couldn’t take him anywhere and only on short, stressful walks hoping we wouldn’t come across any other dogs. After 2 weeks board and train, now we are going on pack walks and bonding more than ever, training was worth it!! Very thankful for K9’s placePosted on Cynthia JacksonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog is now a pleasure to walk. This place is incredible!Posted on Dana PomerantzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Going to try out the Board and Train with the newest rescue member of our family, 9 month old Phoenix (Feny) a Grate Dane/Lab mix. She was already learning before we even left the evaluation. Feny was comfortable with the surroundings the entire time we were there. Looking forward to great training!Posted on Mike HoranTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had the pleasure of bringing my dog Andy to K9 place for a two week board and train. My dog had problems with walking with the leash and he would pull me. He also was not real good around other people and other dogs. After 2 weeks with all the great trainers and staff he is like another dog. I would highly recommend this great place.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. Breaking Down Canine Aggression: What It Really Means
Aggression is one of the most misunderstood behaviors in dogs. Many people assume that aggression means a dog is “bad” or “dangerous,” but that’s not always the case. Aggression is often a response to fear, anxiety, lack of socialization, or past trauma. It can manifest in many ways, including:
- Growling or Snapping – A warning sign that your dog feels threatened.
- Biting – An extreme response to fear or stress.
- Lunging at People or Dogs – A reaction to perceived threats.
- Territorial Behavior – Aggression when protecting food, toys, or space.
- Leash Reactivity – Overreaction to people, dogs, or objects when on a leash.
Without proper training, these behaviors can escalate, making daily life stressful for you and your dog. The good news? Aggressive behaviors can be managed and corrected with the right approach.
The Struggles of Living with an Aggressive Dog
Owning an aggressive dog can feel like walking on eggshells. Simple activities like answering the door, going for a walk, or having guests over can become sources of anxiety. You may feel isolated, avoiding social situations for fear of how your dog will react. The unpredictability of aggressive behavior can leave you feeling powerless, unsure of when the next outburst will happen or how to prevent it. These daily struggles can make enjoying life with your pet difficult, leading to frustration and emotional exhaustion.
This ongoing stress often stems from deeper challenges that many aggressive dog owners face. Understanding these obstacles is the first step toward finding a solution.
Fear of Injury
The biggest concern for most owners is safety—both for themselves and others. Whether your dog’s aggression is directed at strangers, other animals, or even family members, the fear of a bite or serious injury can make interactions stressful and unpredictable.
Public Judgment
Taking an aggressive dog on a walk or to the vet can feel embarrassing or nerve-wracking. The judgment from others can make you hesitant to take your dog out in public, leading to isolation for both of you.
Lack of Control
Without proper training, it can feel impossible to stop your dog’s aggressive outbursts, whether they’re barking, lunging, or growling. A lack of control can make everyday situations—like greeting guests or walking through the neighborhood—difficult.
Ineffective Past Training
Many dog owners have tried training before but have not seen lasting results. Not all training programs equip their staff to handle aggression, and using the wrong techniques can actually make behaviors worse.
At K9s Place, we understand the frustration and challenges aggressive dog owners face. That’s why we design our training to provide real solutions that work—no gimmicks, no empty promises, just proven methods that help your dog find balance. Struggling with your dog’s aggression? We have solutions that work. Book a consultation now!

Personalized Training Plans
Every dog is different. That’s why we create a customized training plan to address your dog’s specific triggers and behaviors. Our approach includes:
- Obedience Training – Teaching your dog to listen and respond to commands, even in high-stress situations.
- Desensitization Techniques – Gradually expose your dog to their triggers in a controlled way to reduce reactivity.
- Impulse Control Training – Helping your dog learn patience and self-restraint.
- Confidence Building – Turning fear-based aggression into calm and controlled behavior.
Owner Involvement and Education
Training isn’t just about the dog—it’s about you, too. We work closely with owners to teach them how to handle and correct aggression safely. Our goal is to give them the confidence to manage their dogs’ behavior in any situation.
