EXCELLENT Based on 292 reviews Posted on Karen SteeleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great experience with dog trainer Brendan! He's very knowledgeable on training! Firm yet gentle with commands. He really made me feel like he genuinely loved my dog and wants him to be the best version of his dog-self! Well worth the money, but understand that homework (practice) needs to be done for 100% success! And I love that part of our last class we spent learning a few fun tricks...rollover & sit pretty! Thanks so much Brendan & K9s!Posted on Emily BeaneTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Super friendly and professional!Posted on StephanieTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. K9s Place completely changed our lives in just 5 days. My 3-year-old mini schnauzer is adorable, but he was very reactive toward people and other dogs, which made walks stressful. I used to dread taking him out and would cross the street anytime I saw another person walking their dog. Now he is well behaved around people and so much better around other dogs. Walks are now enjoyable and I feel so much more relaxed and confident with him. The trainers were patient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend K9s Place to anyone dealing with reactivity or behavior issues. Thank you guys!Posted on Leah CaruthersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I took our 7-month-old puppy, Otis, to this facility for their five-day board and train as well as utilizing their “Spaw” services. To say we are impressed is an understatement. Otis is a very happy puppy and wants to greet absolutely everyone (people and other animals alike) when outside to either walk or use the bathroom. We love that he is so friendly but we were worried sick that one day he might approach an animal or person that may not be so friendly or forgiving. Five days after his program, we are happy to report that he has calmed down significantly when in public and listens to us much better than he used to. His trainer worked with him on everything we asked, even using his own vehicle to help Otis practice getting in and out of the car safely. After his training, we took him to their “Spaw” for grooming and were equally impressed with this service. His fur is the softest it’s ever felt although he usually is very nervous after getting groomed, he showed no signs of anxiety when we picked him up. We are so lucky to have found this facility and trust all the staff with Otis completely. We can’t wait to continue to bring our sweet boy here. Thank you K9’s Place!Posted on Rosan GonzalezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found this place online, and I don't regret taking my Cane Corso to obedience classes for a week. My baby is a completely different dog after those classes. He follows simple commands, I can take him to public places to continue his socialization, and he does an incredible job. This is all thanks to the trainers at K9 Place. Thanks, guys, for the excellent work!Posted on AstaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. K9 Place in Melbourne, FL is hands down the best place in the area. I have a senior diabetic dog with Cushing’s, and it was very hard to find someone willing to help. I called in many vet, dog daycare and boarding places and even called a clinic in Orlando, and they refused to take him. K9 Place was completely different — they were kind, flexible, professional, and truly cared about my dog. They worked with my drop-off and pick-up times, and I could tell right away that they love animals and understand what pet owners go through. If you want a place that is caring, reliable, and puts dogs first, K9 Place is the one. I’m very grateful for them and highly recommend them to anyone in the area.Posted on Clay PilkingtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog is 8.5 years old, and was extremely reactive toward other dogs to the point where I couldn’t take him anywhere and only on short, stressful walks hoping we wouldn’t come across any other dogs. After 2 weeks board and train, now we are going on pack walks and bonding more than ever, training was worth it!! Very thankful for K9’s placePosted on Cynthia JacksonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My dog is now a pleasure to walk. This place is incredible!Posted on Dana PomerantzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Going to try out the Board and Train with the newest rescue member of our family, 9 month old Phoenix (Feny) a Grate Dane/Lab mix. She was already learning before we even left the evaluation. Feny was comfortable with the surroundings the entire time we were there. Looking forward to great training!Posted on Mike HoranTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I recently had the pleasure of bringing my dog Andy to K9 place for a two week board and train. My dog had problems with walking with the leash and he would pull me. He also was not real good around other people and other dogs. After 2 weeks with all the great trainers and staff he is like another dog. I would highly recommend this great place.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. The Most Frustrating Potty Training Struggles
Potty training can feel like an uphill battle, especially when accidents happen and progress seems slow. From unpredictable bathroom habits to stubborn resistance, these challenges can overwhelm even the most patient pet owners.
- Frequent indoor accidents: Puppies don’t instinctively know where they should go, and without consistent training, accidents can become a daily frustration.
- Inconsistent routines: Without structure, puppies may develop bad habits, making it difficult to predict when they need to go.
- Marking and territory issues: Some puppies develop marking behaviors that can be hard to correct without early intervention.
- Resistance to crate training: A properly trained puppy should see their crate as a safe space, not a place for accidents.
- Inability to hold their bladder overnight: Puppies need to gradually build bladder control, and without guidance, nighttime accidents can become a recurring issue.
At K9’s Place, we address these challenges with a structured potty training program that creates consistency, encourages positive behavior, and sets your puppy up for success. No more guessing games or frustrating accidents—our proven training program gives your dog the structure they need to thrive. Contact us to schedule your first session.
The Secret to a Happy Puppy and Mess-Free Home
Potty training isn’t just about keeping your floors clean—it’s about setting the foundation for lifelong habits that promote a healthy, happy relationship between you and your dog.
Without proper training, puppies may struggle with confusion, anxiety, and bad behaviors that persist into adulthood.
Our program is designed to make the potty training process simple and effective for puppies and their owners. We use a step-by-step approach to ensure your puppy learns proper bathroom habits in a structured, positive environment.
How to Potty Train a Puppy the K9s Place Way
- Establish a routine: Consistency is key when it comes to potty training. Our trainers work closely with you to establish a clear potty schedule based on your puppy’s age, breed, and individual needs. By reinforcing designated bathroom times, your puppy will develop predictable habits that reduce accidents.
- Add crate training: Crate training is a powerful tool in potty training, helping puppies develop better bladder control and understand boundaries. Our training ensures that your puppy sees their crate as a safe, comfortable space rather than a punishment. A properly crate-trained puppy learns to hold their bladder until it’s time to go outside.
- Address accidents and setbacks positively: Potty training isn’t always a straight path—setbacks happen. Our trainers teach you how to respond to accidents constructively, avoiding negative reinforcement that can lead to fear or confusion. Instead, we provide strategies to reinforce proper habits and correct mistakes effectively.
- Form lasting habits: Our goal isn’t just short-term potty training success but building habits that last a lifetime. By the end of our program, your puppy will understand when and where to go, giving you confidence that your home will remain clean and accident-free.
Our expert potty training program makes housebreaking simple, effective, and stress-free. Give your puppy the foundation for a lifetime of good habits.
